When it comes to sports, particularly team sports, kids with special
needs are often left without an option. Now, that is about to change for
the popular sport of soccer. The national US Youth Soccer organization
is teaming up with local area soccer clubs to bring a unique soccer
program to this area.
The program, called TOPSoccer, is designed to meet the needs of
children with physical and/or mental disabilities. It targets those kids
ages 5-18 who would like to play soccer, but are challenged by the
traditional soccer environment, including those kids with physical
supports and wheelchairs.
TOPSoccer is a community-based, outreach soccer program that is run
by local volunteers. Player participation and development are key
elements of the program, as players are placed on teams according to
ability and NOT by age. The program is designed to provide a fun and
meaningful experience for the family, while also improving the overall
fitness, self-esteem and social skills of the child athlete in a safe
and caring environment. The program will also provide parents the
opportunity to network with other families for support and information
sharing.
TOPSoccer furthers US Youth Soccer’s mission of fostering the
physical, mental and emotional growth and development of America’s youth
through the sport of soccer at all levels. In short, it takes kids from
the sidelines to participating in the game. Just talk with the parents
or participants of TOPSoccer and you’ll understand why TOPSoccer exists.
EYSC participates as a host club for TopSoccer activity dates each
year. The dates, locations and times will be posted in the News section
of our website when those activity dates draw near. This participation
provides an opportunity for local families to experience and become
familiar with the program and meet the Coaches and other volunteers.
TOPSoccer is also seeking adult and teenage volunteers to serve as
player buddies. |

 School Daily Deals was
founded by fundraising professionals who understand the importance of
raising money for our local schools and organizations. We have years of
fundraising experience working with teams, schools, and organizations.
We truly understand the importance of fundraising but are also sensitive
to the “donor fatigue” most parents experience in trying to support
their student in their different sports and activities. Unfortunately,
fundraising is necessary to the success of any school, team or
organization. For more information please go to the link below and
