Roseville Soccer is proud to partner with The Talentprojekt – a 10-month soccer
residency and study abroad program bridging access to Europe’s world-class
professional and youth development system for North America’s elite youth soccer
players.
The Talentprojekt is on a mission to prove that American kids, when given the same advantages
as their European counterparts, can see their true potential emerge and close the talent gap that
separates them.
Many American players don't exhibit that look of a can’t miss, straight to the top shouting talent.
They have what Talentprojekt founder, Mark Dillon, calls 'whispering talent.' The term refers to
players that are otherwise talented, but often missed or overlooked because:
1) Talent is just not recognized;
2) Talent is not yet fully developed;
3) A player has not yet caught up physically with other players their age;
4) A player has not had the advantages or level of coaching and environment of necessary to properly develop and refine a player’s skill.
