Mid-season, RSC invites all recreational teams to participate in our 'At the Break' tournament! This weekend event guarantees a minimum of three games, with a fourth for teams reaching the final. It's a fantastic opportunity for players to create lasting memories and build strong team bonds.
We've compiled answers to frequently asked parent questions on our website's FAQ page. It's a valuable resource for addressing common concerns.
RSC has partnered with CoachIT to ensure all players receive 50% playtime and to provide coaches with an effective tool for managing substitutions and game data. The CoachIT app, currently available for iPad ($9.99 from the App Store), operates offline during games.
Coaches can access FIFA laws through the IFAB app, provided in the link below, for any rules requiring FIFA clarification.

Both RSC Rec and Comp coaches are responsible for nets and corner flags for home games.
Teams that play the first game at a particular location are responsible for picking up the nets for your field and for setting them up.
Net pickups are held every Monday from 7:15 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. at the Maidu sheds.
Please note that certain fields already have goals on wheels that do not require net setup, such as Hughes South, Vencil Brown, Veterans Memorial Park (Vets 1), Veterans Memorial Park-North, and Mel Hamel. These nets are to remain on the goals at all times. However, if you are scheduled to play at a field that already has nets, you are still responsible for picking up corner flags.
Upon picking up your nets bag, please make sure to check to see that everything needed is inside. Located inside each bag should be two nets and material to keep them in place on the goals, such as bungees or velcro. Some bags already include corner flags; if your bag does not have corner flags inside, you will need to take some from the Maidu sheds. Nets bags for 11V11 fields should include a step stool.
Teams that play the final game of the day at a particular location are responsible for taking the nets off of the goals and placing them in the bag they were brought in, along with the corner flags and other items, and then returning them to Maidu. You are also responsible for moving the goals OFF of the field.
if you are scheduled to play at a field that already has nets, you are still responsible for taking down corner flags and returning them.
Net dropoffs are held every Thursday from 7:15 to 8:15 p.m. at the Maidu sheds.

All coaches (head & assistant) are required to have a LiveScan on file with RYSC. RYSC has arranged for LiveScan representatives to attend the Coaches Meeting and you can have it done while at the meeting. Forms will be available at the coaches meeting but if you click the link below and print out the form in advance, it will help with the preparations. Additionally you must bring a valid photo ID (Drivers License preferred, Passport accepted)
Note: It does not matter if you were LiveScanned for a different organization, it is still required to have one specifically for RYSC.
NOTE: If you had a LiveScan done for RYSC in 2021 or 2022, those are still valid and no further action is required.
The club calendar is published on the calendar page of our website. Note, you may need to be using Google Chrome as your web browser to be able to view as it is an embedded google calendar. This provides the latest available information on various milestones for the season.

Every great coach has a Team Manager backing them up making sure everything runs smoothly. Direct your Team Manager to our complete webpage dedicated to them with tips and tricks to get the job done.
A spreadsheet will be published to coaches with a list of available times and parks open to each age group. Coaches then need to select the practice schedules that fit the team's needs from the available open spots. This spreadsheet will come from the club scheduler via email when available.
If you haven't received a message from the scheduler to book your practice times by the announced date, please send an email to scheduling@rosevillesoccer.com
We know volunteering to coach is a commitment that you make so the kids can play. As a small token of our thanks, RYSC will provide a 100% refund for 1 registration fee to the head coach of the team. This is limited to one refund per team and thus not available for assistant coaches. Teams with "multiple head coaches" will have the refund applied to the first coach listed in Playmetrics. These refunds are typically processed in Mid-September after the season has started and the registrar has more time to complete this task.
We have several coaching education courses per game level, where recreational volunteer coaches will learn from our technical staff how to run a field training session, be given session ideas and lots of tips and tools to run a fun, successful season.
