Our Goal is to help model & teach the Roseville System &
Style of Play and Age group curriculum to our Recreation & Competitive Coaches.
Our Coaching Educators will present coaches the session plan and topic on a short Sunday evening call and review the training plan prior to each field session. During the weekly on-field session, coaches will have the opportunity to actually coach together with the RYSC Professional Coaching Staff (Age Group DOC’s and Trainers).
Visit the Game Schedule page of our website by clicking below to find your schedule.
The first half of the season schedule is typically published about one week before the first games. The second half of the season schedule will be published during the mid-season break after re-seeding teams based on first half results.
If you have the first or last game of the day on a field, you will likely have responsibility to pickup or drop off field equipment. Visit our Field Equipment page to learn more
Game card information and how to report scores varies by age group. Generally for U9+ games the home team on the schedule (the team listed first on the schedule) is responsible to provide the game card to the referee.

Every great coach has a Team Manager backing them up making sure everything runs smoothly. Direct your Team Manager to our complete webpage dedicated to them with tips and tricks to get the job done.
Every year at the half way point of the season, RYSC hosts the "At the Break" tournament for recreational teams. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a minimum of 3 games in one weekend (and four if you make the final).
Often times these tournament experiences are the ones kids remember the most fondly and it's great teambuilding
Team Rosters are available to coaches within the GotSport system. Be sure to look at Team Management -> Rosters -> and filter for 2022 Rec Season. DO NOT look at Team Members as this may show a mix of players on the current and prior year. We find GotSport works best on a desktop instead of mobile.
RYSC has a master account for TeamSnap. Every team will be set up by the club and the coaches will receive an invitation. The team coaches must then invite your entire roster to join your team on TeamSnap. This is an important step because RYSC uses TeamSnap to send out communications to the entire club during the season and if you are not properly set up you won't receive those notifications. It's a super useful app to manage your schedule & communications directly with your team.

In their team leadership position, Coaches set the tone for the kids and parents. Please review and communicate the Referee Abuse (zero-tolerance) Policy to your team.

U9-U12 Boys Program Director
We will have (2) coaching education courses per game level, where recreational volunteer coaches will learn from our technical staff how to run a field training session, be given session ideas and lots of tips and tools to run a fun, successful season.
Coaches will have access to our full online training session planner. We provide training sessions based on the club curriculum so coaches can focus on teaching the game, and not creating training session from scratch.
You do not have to be a pro to coach recreational soccer.
RYSC assists every step of the way.All volunteer coaches are assigned a coaching director as well as a technical coaching director. Have a question before the season or mid-season? Help is one phone call or email away.
