Welcome to Roseville Soccer Club

One Club. One Philosophy. One Community.

Our Story: A Legacy of Growth & Unity

Founded in 1981, the Roseville Youth Soccer Club has proudly served the greater South Placer community for over 40 years, offering Recreational/Grassroots, Competitive, and now even a semi-professional soccer program. Up until 2023, the club operated under two distinct brands: the recreational brand 'RYSC' and the competitive side known as Roseville Premier.

The past few years have seen significant evolution within our club. With the exciting launch of our Academy program feeding into new semi-professional teams starting in 2024 and 2025, it became clear that a unified identity was needed to reflect our comprehensive pathway and growth. Starting in 2024, all club programs are proudly unified under one name:

Roseville Soccer Club

One Club. One Philosophy. One Community.

The Roseville Way: Cultivating Excellence from U6 to Semi-Pro

This unified vision began to take shape a few years back during a period of reflection and planning when we couldn't be on the field. A dedicated group of board members and coaches collaborated to create a club-wide curriculum, setting in motion what is known today as The Roseville Way.

Similar to the common core in education, The Roseville Way establishes clear standards for our players and coaches, from U6 all the way to U19, for both our recreational and competitive programs.

Unlike many clubs that allow coaches to teach individually based on their own guiding principles (which can lead to inconsistent performance and a poor player experience), The Roseville Way ensures consistency. By applying the same proven methods and principles at all levels of the game, we are able to provide superior coach education and a clear player development roadmap, ensuring a consistent and high-quality experience for every participant.

Achievements & Growth: A Legacy of Success

Roseville Soccer Club has experienced remarkable growth and achieved significant milestones that underscore our commitment to excellence:

  • Internal Advancement: Successfully promoted internal coaches and launched our thriving Academy program.
  • Rapid Expansion: Seen rapid growth with over 800 new players and more than 1,200 competitive tryout participants for the upcoming 2025/26 season.
  • National Recognition: Qualified six teams for prestigious national tournaments.
  • Community Engagement: Attracted over 2,000 fans per home game for our women’s team, fostering a vibrant club atmosphere.
  • Program Expansion: Launched a men’s team, further building our club-wide competitive presence.
  • Innovation Leaders: We are the first club in California to consistently use data and objective testing to evaluate players, ensuring a data-driven approach to development.
  • Elite Competition: Our first team is already competing in the National Premier League (NPL)

Our Identity: Rooted in Roseville, Built for the Future

Alongside our new name, we've also updated our logo and visual identity. The new design not only reflects the entirety of our programs, from grassroots to semi-professional, but it also pays homage to Roseville's proud railroad history and the traditional 'Rose' city symbol. The new accent color, 'rosegold,' further connects us to the rich gold mining history of the greater South Placer region.

This new look embodies our respect for the past while embracing our exciting future.

Looking Ahead: Our Vision for the Future

Building on our solid foundation and recent successes, our ambitious goal is to become a fully integrated NPL club by 2027–2028, further expanding our player development opportunities and cementing our position as a leading force in California soccer.

Our club is incredibly proud of its 40+ year history of offering soccer to our awesome community, and that unwavering commitment will never change. We hope you are just as excited as we are about what lies ahead – and that you love the new look and renewed spirit of Roseville SC!
