- U6-U8: four 10 min quarters
- U9-U10: two 25 min halves
- U11-U12: two 30 min halves
- U13: two 35 min halves
- U14-U16: two 40 min halves
- U17-U19: two 45 min halves

Our referee assignors work to supply three referees for all U11 through U19 games, and one referee for all U9 & U10 games. The 4v4 games played by U6-8 ages are officiated by the coaches.
There is a referee shortage across the region and we expect some games to not have official referees. In these instances the home team should provide a volunteer parent. RYSC offers training for parent volunteers, click below to learn about training opportunities.

No, goal keepers not allowed in 4v4 games. Starting at the 7v7 groups (U9+) and higher, goal keepers become part of the game.

Take a deep breath, sit back and enjoy the rest of the game. Referees are human and will make mistakes. You are human and will make mistakes. The kids will remember the example you set, long after they forget any single call on a play. The club has a zero tolerance Referee abuse policy (physical or verbal) and will support the referee on all judgment calls. Read the full policy here:

Game Cards
The exact game card procedure depends on your age group.
- U6-U8: there is no game card, but both home and away coaches will be required to confirm the final score via a link in an email received on gameday from TeamSideline. IMPORTANT: Scores are not final until BOTH coaches have confirmed the score.
- U9-U14: the home coach is responsible to provide the game card to the referee (link below to print). Both home and away coaches will be required to confirm the final score via a link in an email on gameday from TeamSideline. IMPORTANT: Scores are not final until BOTH coaches have confirmed the score.
- U15+: the home coach will print game cards from GotSport and provide the document to the referee. After the game, the home coach will be responsible for entering final scores into GotSport.
Please contact your age appropriate Director of Coaching in the case of doubt.
