The season is set to begin in late July/early August and run until mid-November. RYSC recognizes that the COVID19 restrictions and recommendations continue to be updated and will adhere to those as they change. If we are required to cancel the playing season for the Fall, we will automatically refund 100% of the registration fee to your original form of payment.
The reg fee is $110 for 1st player and $10 discount for every player after that (in the same family)
A $15 late fee will be charged per person, per registration for applicants accepted after the close date of June 28, 2020.
We have a new registration software this year. You must create a NEW account. Once you put in your player’s information the system should recognize the player and autofill some criteria. Please VERIFY your information is correct and update where needed.
You will be required to upload a copy of your player's birth certificate while registering. Please have this digital copy available before you begin. Hospital and Baptismal certificates are not accepted. It must be an official copy or passport. If you

You will be contacted by your assigned coach in late July/early August. Please be patient while we take the time to make your soccer experience the best we can. We do not have information about practice schedules as they are decided on by the individual coaches. Practice will begin in August.
Please note: Specific Age Groups may be closed early if we do not have enough coaches to support the teams. If this happens, your player will be placed on a wait list for an opening in this age group.
If approved for our financial aid scholarship, RYSC will waive your player’s registration fee and ask that you volunteer for the Club a minimum of 4 hours. We intend to have a variety of opportunities for you to fulfill your volunteer hours. These opportunities will include a wide range of options including field rehabilitation, equipment handout events, tournament help, etc.

Player registration takes place in the Spring of each calendar year. After the registrations are completed then the applicants are separated by gender and age group. From there they are placed on tentative teams based on the criteria used below. If late players are accepted, they are put on rosters on an as needed basis and the above guidelines may be disregarded. Final team placement is made by the club registrar when the roster is created. The seasonal year is September 1st through August 31st.
Specific team placement is never guaranteed. Teams are comprised through the consideration of many factors. They are primarily, but not limited to:
- Player's age
- Returning to previous year's team
- Nearest public school or child's residence
- Special Requests submitted at the time of registration
No team name can be changed after official rosters have been handed out. Team names are chosen prior to the beginning of the season. No duplicate names should be used in the club. This allows for clarification in all club information which names are used (schedules, pictures, sponsorships, etc.).
Each coach shall keep with him/her an official team roster listing all active players for that season.
The following roster minimum / maximums will be considered:
U6 - U8 6 min / 8 max plays 4V4
U9 - U10 10 min / 14 max plays 7V7
U11 - U12 11 min / 16 max plays 9V9
U13 - U14 11 min / 18 max plays 11v11
U15 - U19 11 min / 22 max plays 11V11
No team roster will be changed without prior approval from the club registrar. Amended rosters will be sent out to the coach (s) once a change has been authorized. This includes, but is not limited to, any add, transfer or removal of players or coaches

RYSC is a non-profit volunteer organization. We are not affiliated with any school districts or the City of Roseville. There is a Board of Directors that meet monthly to make the tough decisions and several volunteers who are needed to keep things running smoothly each season. Please consider volunteering to help the club. If you are interested , please contact the Club President.
RYSC is great fun for children that where born on or after 01/01/2015 (AND enrolled in Kindergarten for Fall) all the way through to those players born on or before 12/31/2002. If a player is younger or older than these dates, they cannot play this season.
The season officially begins in August and ends in November. Games are played on Saturday’s and practices are held 1-3 times during the week. (As set by the coach with input from the parents.)
RYSC sanctioned uniforms are mandatory to play. If you are a returning player you can purchase a new uniform or wear your uniform from last year unless you are moving up from U8 to be a U9 player. At U9 the uniform changes and you must purchase the age appropriate uniform. If you are a NEW player you must purchase the RYSC approved uniform. Please NOTE: RYSC will likely change the required uniform in the 2021-22 season.

The photos are used to make “player cards”, which the referees check before each game to verify that the player belongs on the team. We need current pictures of each player.
We need an official copy of the birth certificate to verify age. We can not accept “unofficial” birth certificates issued by a hospital.
If customers can’t find it, it doesn’t exist. Clearly list and describe the services you offer. Also, be sure to showcase a premium service.
Team assignments are finalized in July and the team lists will be given to the coaches at their first meeting at the end of July. Most coaches will begin calling their team members within a few weeks from that date. Practices cannot begin until the City releases the fields, usually in the 2nd week of August.
Most soccer players in RYSC play at the Recreation level. For those players in age groups U9-U19 who are looking for more of a challenge and possess the skills necessary to compete at that level can tryout for Competitive teams with Roseville Premier, the competitive side out our club. Those interested MUST attend Competitive level tryouts to be eligible to play. Tryouts are held in the spring of each year. Link to register: HERE
